About
I have a passion for helping those with serious illness and their loved ones. After losing family members to cancer, I experienced a life-threatening illness. I decided to switch my focus from General Internal Medicine to Palliative Care. Palliative care is a medical specialty specifically designed to serve those with serious illness who may be too well for Hospice (in the USA), or who may be seriously ill, but do not want Hospice type care. Hospice is a care model for those with an estimated prognosis of 6 months or less.
For decades, I have worked with seriously ill people and their loved ones. I have worked in many healthcare settings: hospitals, homes, clinics, and nursing homes. I have a deep understanding of the needs of those facing a life-threatening illness. This includes needs related to social, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of care.
My goal is to provide an extra layer of support to people and their loved ones by helping to navigate this crucial time in your life or in the life of your loved one.
